A few days ago I visited NoisePR. The lovely Nanna showed me around their showroom and talked about the different brands they have. Amongst others there is Davines and Maroccanoil. Two brands that I use all the time and have been using for many years. From Davines I normally use the OI shampoo, conditioner and hair oil. I started using it maybe 3 years ago and it is the best shampoo that I have ever tried- it makes my hair really nice and it feels good. Nanna gave me a bunch of new products to try out from that brand- I am so excited to try all of it! I chose things that are specifically good for my hair, I sometimes have problems with dry skin, so I got the whole " your hair assistant" line you can see that HERE. and some from the Natural Line. I have a bunch of others and will let you know how they work! Furthermore I have a lot from Maroccanoil. I also have some body creams and scrubs- I didn't even know they make those! I have been using their hair oil for about a year now and it works so well! But now- I have the whole summer to try all of the new amazing products yay!

Copenhagen Guides, Copenhagen, Food & Coffee

If you like Japanese food, Bento is the place to go. Helgolandsgade 13, in Vesterbro is definitely a place to visit! Bento is a small family Japanese restaurant, where you get amazing food and really nice service. Fortunately it is right under my apartment, so we go there quite often for their lunch menu. I can really recommend that! We were there a few times in the evening, but it is a lot more expensive than during lunch- somewhere around 150-300 DKK for a dinner menu. Now, lunch you get for 95DKK and there is plenty of food! They have three different lunch sets- a dumpling menu, noodle menu and rice with pork menu. I like the one with pork and rice the best, you get 3 gyoza dumpling, noodle soup and rice with curry pork. It is so delicious! Mostly the portions are too big so it is hard to finish all of it haha. But so so so good! Also the interior is really cozy and in the evening they have amazing cocktails. During the day the place is quite empty so it is not hard to get a table, but in the evening it is good to reserve a spot!

My kitties

Last week our small cat Minii fell out of the window! Thankfully we live on the first floor, which is only about 5m above the ground, so she was ok, but I was really scared something would be wrong with her so I took her to our vet.

In the past month we noticed that Minii jumps up on our window ( we have the Danish type, one big window in the bottom and a small one on top). With Toastie, we had to watch out not to have any windows open, because he would sit on the edge and he also fell down once when he was a kitten, luckily he fell into a bike basket and was totally ok. And he never tried to jump into the small window on top so we could keep those open. But Minii really likes climbing so jumps on it... We were having a BBQ some time ago and suddenly we saw Minii on the window outside holding on to it. We freaked out and I ran up to save her but she very skilfully jumped down into the room... However last week, she got closed in the kitchen, which is now the only place we leave the window open during the night. And since she was there for a few hours during the evening she tried to climb on the window and probably fell. We found her in the courtyard in the morning hiding behind a bicycle.

I expected to get to the vet and her thinking I am a total idiot, who doesn't watch her cat and lets her fall our of a windows, but she said that it happens really often. Also that we were lucky, because usually when a cat falls from a "small" hight like what happened now the cat will fall on her mounth and usually break her jaw- so we were really really lucky! We got some painkillers for her and now she is totally ok.

IF YOU HAVE A CAT IN AN APARTMENT: There are a lot of things you can do, to prevent your cat from falling. It is possible to buy windows with a strong net so you can have the windows totally open during the summer. Also there are safety stoppers, that will keep the window open, only so much that the cat can't get out. I think we will go for the net solution, because it is nice to have fresh air in the apartment. Either way, it is best to try to prevent anything from happening- I honestly didn't think that Minii would do this, but now I know better..

Beauty

Ever since I started blogging I have been learning a lot about beauty products, creams, make-up, hair products.. It has been very educational haha. One of the brands I found out about is Maria Nila. I went to a brunch some time ago at Hotel d'Angleterre for Maria Nila ( read HERE). Now, I was familiar with the brand image, I have seen it around on Instagram, however I never tried it for myself. The girls at ImpressionPR now represent the brand and gave me a bunch of products to test. I have always had hair, that gets really soft and doesn't hold volume, so I really wanted to find a product, that would help me with that. And Maria Nila actually work so well with my hair! I use their volume and styling mousse almost every day and it does miracles! My hair has volume, stays in a nice shape and feels very nice. A lot of my friends have tried out the products when we were at mine getting ready for our Gala and all of them love it!

Some of the products are used on wet hair and then you blow dry it and some are used for retouching after your hair is dry. The mousse I use is for wet hair, and I was really happy to see that when I dried my hair it wasn't sticky( some products that you put in before blowdrying just make your hair sticky and oily haha). And the hair spray is amazing, because it holds your hair really well, but doesn't look like you have any on! I can really recomend all of it. Not only do the products smell nice, but they are also vegan and insanely photogenic!

On Monday @amandabugge took a few of us from NOUW to a lovely spa opening at the Natura Siberica store. I didn't know the brand prior to this- but I am totally obsessed now haha. The cosmetic products smell insanely good, are totally natural and have cute packaging. There was this one raspberry body scrub, which I swear looks like jam and smells like jam! I think if I gave it to someone as a gift they would think they can eat is haha. We got to take a few products to test at home- so I took some scrub, body butter and showe gel- they are actually amazing! I really like the philosophy behind the brand. The brand is originally from Siberia, which is a region in Russia. The conditions in that region are really tough and the plants there have to assimilate to harsh conditions and weather changes. So the plants synthesise protective active substances and posses strong anti-oxidant properties. Natura Siberica uses this and transmits the power from the plants into their products. The creators of the products are constantly conducting research and expeditions to uncover new ingredients for their skincare cosmetic products. So cool! I really recommend you check it out. Oh and the cool thing is, that all the products are insanely affordable- ranging from 50-150DKK. The shop also has a small spa where you can get a facial scrub. Love it!
